Now that you've got your patio just the way you envisioned it and you are ready for your first neigborhood barbeque, the first thing to consider when purchasing your outdoor grill, is outdoor grilling safety.

To begin with, determine what type of outdoor grill you wish to do your outdoor cooking with. Will it be a natural gas grill, a charcoal grill, or an outdoor firepit? How much outdoor grilling and entertaining will you be doing? The most important part of your decision is how much space you have on your patio or in your backyard. Do you have a lot of trees or more open space? Install or place your gas or charcoal grill a minimum of 10 feet away from your home or other structure.

Once you've purchased and installed your gas or charcoal grill, check any hoses, valves and overall stability for any cracks, leaks or structural weakness before the first barbeque. Remember to keep the lid open when lighting your gas grill, the same applies to the charcoal grill. Above all else, always follow the manufacturer's instructions that accompany your grill.

And last but not least, have fun with your new found hobby, don't be afraid to try new recipe's and let your family and friends compliment you all day long.
