Wooden Picnic Tables Are a Traditional Outdoor Table

Classic wooden picnic tables have been a favorite with families for decades. Commercial ventures, city parks, churches, schools and private companies also enjoy the convenience, durability, functionality and affordability of a well made wooden picnic table.

Red cedar picnic tables are very popular because of their ability to resist insects and decay. Unfinished red cedar is valued for it’s beauty, it’s warm tones, it’s rich grain and it’s wonderful wood scent.

Online sites offer traditional tables with seats attached as well as rectangular trestle tables with separate wooden bench seats. Another popular style is the round table with wooden bench seats that comes in more than one diameter. The square table with bench seats comes with a four-foot length to 8 feet or more. Octagonal tables come with attached seating that surrounds the table and attached seating with breaks for easy use.

The treated pine picnic tables are an affordable alternative. You may wish to use number one grade lumber that is arsenic free for your family’s use although both the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and Consumer Reports have deemed treated wood safe. These are great for home and commercial use.

For heave commercial use consider using vinyl and polywood tables for picnicking. These stylish, hardwearing tables will last for years despite the weather.

Outfit your deck, patio, back yard, or summer retreat with a sturdy wood picnic table. Go for traditional or something a little less conventional. Your will get years of use from a well-made wooden table for picnics.

Order your wood furniture stained or unstained. Unstained or unsealed wood will fade to a fine gray patina within a couple of years. Seal or stain your furniture to keep its golden hues. Most items are shipped partially assembled or unassembled and can be put together using common household tools.
